Charlie Lee has gone from somebody you could rely on to fill a hole into someone who has fast become one of the first names on the team sheet.

His versatility has stood him in good stead but now as Darren Ferguson has remarked, he`s a natural defender, a defender with enough skill to score sublime goals as Leicester City will vouch.

But, if we look at a few quotes attributed to Darren Ferguson, Charlie might have been a bit reluctant to pass himself off as a defender when Darren remarks,

“The first year I was here we watched Charlie half a dozen times.”

“He was a centre half for Spurs reserves, he played midfield last season but we`ve worked out his better position is as a defender. He agrees with that – well, he does now.”

Come on Charlie – you`re our darling!
