Posh – Ferguson On QPR’s Wanted List?

Darren Ferguson has emerged as the number one candidate to become the latest QPR manager according to some reports, although others also have Paul Ince as the top candidate.

The Peterborough manager, of course the son of Man United legend Sir Alex Ferguson, has proved immensely successful at London Road with him leading them to the brink of back to back promotions from League Two – the Championship. This has left the 37-year as QPR owner Flabio Briatore’s top target as his latest manager at the end of the season?

It is believed that a £100,000 buy-out-clause is written into Ferguson’s contract, an amount that Briatore wouldn’t have an problem with paying, and this will be paid in the summer apparently.

With QPR going through more managers than most people have hot dinners Ferguson would be taking a risk in leaving Peterborough for QPR, but he might be tempted should Posh fail to make it into the Championship next season. However it is looking good for the club to be promoted for a second season running.

Do you think that Darren Ferguson would be tempted to leave Peterborough for QPR?
