Watching the disappointment on the Histon Town player`s faces as they drew Swansea City, in the third round, instead of one of the big boys was a picture.
However, reading a few quotes from Barry Fry today you get the feeling things were not much different at London Road when the familiar name of West Bromwich Albion came out of the hat.
Speaking about the draw Fry was his usual controversial self remarking,
‘I know we have been drawn against a Premiership team which is normally what lower league sides like, but I can think of 19 better ties that we could have had.’
‘It is certainly an anti-climax as far as I am concerned and I am sure our fans will feel the same way after seeing West Brom twice last season.’
‘I am sure we would all have much preferred a bigger club or at least a different one.’
I dunno, at least it gives us the chance to put the record straight!
