Posh – Fry Not Giving Up!

The two points dropped (or was it a point won) at Prenton Park on Tuesday night, have left us a little way off the pace the top two are setting.

Dreams of automatic promotion are fast being adjusted for a battle for a play-off place.

Reflecting on the Tranmere game, Barry Fry was left to rue the missed opportunities remarking,

‘It was a very difficult game, but shortly after half-time we had four or five glorious opportunities.”

We hit the bar, missed a couple of one-on-ones and John Achterberg made a couple of good saves.”

‘They could have had a penalty in the second half, but in the end it was a hard-fought point.”

It indeed was Barry, Tranmere`s record at home, prior to our visit was seven wins and a draw in their last eight games.

However, whilst we here at Vital Posh might be looking towards the play-offs, Barry hasn`t given up the chase for that automatic promotion place, commenting,

‘For us to finish second; MK Dons have to lose a few games and we have to win ours.”

‘But the good thing for us is that most of the teams in the top half of the table have to play each other, and this is where we have the chance to take advantage as sides will be taking points off one another.’

Bring it on we say, bring it on!
