Since joining us from Dagenham and Redbridge, on loan, Scott Griffiths has been a permanent fixture in our defence.

The full back has made 9 appearances as he seeks to impress Mark Cooper enough to make the loan deal permanent.

Speaking about a possible move, Scott is reported as having remarked,

“As far as I am aware, all the paperwork is in place for me to complete a permanent move here in a couple of weeks’ time, so hopefully they won’t change their mind.”

‘They haven’t indicated so far that they want to cancel the deal, so everything is going well on that front.”

Continuing on a Posh theme, Scott recalled the weekend FA Cup tie at White Hart Lane and, amongst other things, spoke about the excitement of playing at a Premier League ground, commenting,

‘If I wasn’t getting a lot of game-time then it would be a different story because every player wants to play and the game at the weekend (against Spurs in the FA Cup) was one to savour.”

‘To line up against a quality Spurs side like that in a fantastic stadium was amazing and I thank the club for giving me that opportunity.’

‘Any Premier League ground is fantastic, but the noise inside the stadium was deafening and it was a just a tremendous experience overall.”

Hopefully, if we can creep away from our current plight, trips to White Hart Lane may be a common thing in the years ahead.

I’m struggling to comprehend how our defence from last year has been decimated so much and we still ship goals like its going out of fashion!
