After deciding that life in Cambridgeshire was not for him and his family, it doesn`t look as if Jim Gannon will be out of work long.

The latest club to be linked with his services are Oldham Athletic with the Daily Mirror implying that Gannon is in line to replace Dave Penney.

Apparently the panic button is about to be pushed at Boundary Park as Oldham look set to slide out of League One and into League Two, a far cry from their halcyon days in the top flight under Joe Royle.

We`ll endeavour to keep you posted!
