Barring a reaction to any slight knock he may have picked up at Ashton Gate, or waking up with a bug, George Boyd looks set to beat the consecutive appearance record he now shares with Eric Steele come the visit of Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday evening.

George celebrated equalling the record with a strange looped header down at Ashton Gate and no doubt he`d like to celebrate beating it with amore conventional goal in front of his own supporters.

However, reflecting on the last gasp goal and the fact that George equalled Eric Steele`s record, Darren Ferguson had this to say,

“We got a little bit lucky with his goal but the lad should be proud of that record especially in the modern game.”

“He will break it if he plays against Doncaster on Tuesday and I don`t think that record will ever be broken.”

Darren may well be right there, it`s a tremendous achievement!
