After it was made public knowledge that Micah Hyde would be made available for transfer in the January transfer window and that his name had been circulated to all league clubs, it was believed that the FA Cup tie against AFC Hornchurch would have been the perfect opportunity to put the thirty-three year old in the shop window.
However, it never happened and after the narrow, last gasp victory, Darren Ferguson refused to offer any comments as to why Micah was not in the eighteen man squad for the trip to Essex. Strangely enough, Hyde was omitted in favour of the youth team player Lewis Webb.
Could the fact that Hyde had expressed a degree of displeasure at being put on the list be a prominent reason for his omission?
