It looks like we were not too far off the mark when we ran an article last week implying Posh were looking at Calvin Zola.

Today it has been revealed that Posh did make an enquiry for the forward but were put off by a price that does seem a little high for the lad, with Barry Fry admitting,

‘We have made some enquiries and Zola is a player we asked about.”

‘I spoke to Dario Gradi at Crewe to see whether they were willing to sell and what the price would be.”

‘He told me £1 million so I wished him good luck for the rest of the season and put the phone down!”

A short but polite enquiry then Barry!
