Yesterday, as we failed to notch up our first Championship win of the season, in five attempts, a wag standing next to me told me to look on the bright side.
He told me that we may only have drawn but in doing so we`d doubled our points tally for the season!
I suppose it`s the sort of attitude we need to take, we need to keep a brave smile on our faces and keep believing that it will come good in the end and that we`ll not be peaking over our shoulders at the relegation trap door all season.
Believe it or not, despite only having two points, there are teams worse off and below us in the table.
After the match, in his post match interview, Darren Ferguson remained upbeat, remarking,
“For fifteen minutes after we scored, we just lost our concentration and paid the penalty.”
“But we were terrific on he whole and we have definitely shown we will be able to cope with the Championship.”
“We were the better side in the first half and deserved to go in front.”
“It is disappointing not to have won but when we finally get a break we will be up and running.”
And until we get that break, we`ve, like we mentioned previously, just got to keep believing!
