Posh – Lewis Bad for Barry`s Health?

I`ve a lot of time for Barry Fry!

The more I read into his dealings that, somehow, managed to keep our float during the bad times the more I realise he`s now Posh through and through.

Also, with his prominent manner and ‘in-your-face` way of conducting interviews I can quite well visualise him sat in front of the television watching the England U21 side win 7-0 on Tuesday evening.

I can even now, if I shut my eyes, visualise him looking on in astonishment as Joe Lewis made his entrance into the fray as a striker and I`m fairly sure I can hear him utter those words quoted in the tabloids relating to the affair,

“I almost dived at the telly when I saw Joe come on. I nearly had a third heart attack.”

“I was shouting, ‘Don`t make any tackles, don`t do anything silly`.

“All I could see was £5 million worth of talent going down the pan.”

It`s all very true, on reflection how would the FA have explained away a crocked Joe Lewis, a Joe Lewis out for the season because he was injured playing at centre forward?

Something we missed out on when summarising the events we think!
