With the transfer window now upon us and no sign of any concrete offers being made for the transfer listed Aaron Mclean, could Barry Fry be touting another of our players around?

It seems that after our 4-0 FA Cup exit at White Hart Lane, Barry paid the Spurs dressing room a visit possibly touting a sale of the excellent Joe Lewis.

Lewis who performed admirably during the `Siege of White Hart Lane` is acknowledged as a top notch keeper and it can only be matter of time before he makes the move into the Premier League.

Praised by both sets of supporters, on Saturday, Harry Redknapp takes up the story,

“Barry Fry just came in and said ‘Arsenal want him, Man United want him, but if you want him I`ll give you first opportunity.”

“He came into the dressing room after we`d just finished the game and he was trying to flog him.”

Hopefully, it was all tongue in cheek, although after the game Joe Lewis did give an honest answer when asked about the Premier League, commenting,

“It was pleasing to hear. When you are playing well it`s nice to know people are recognizing that.”

“I must admit though, you don`t often hear opposing fans singing your praises.”

“Every footballer in the world wants to play in the Premier League – it`s the place to be – and I`m no different.”

“I`m happy at Peterborough but if a Premier League club came in it would be difficult to turn down.”

Looks like a move could, eventually, be inevitable!
