The loan window is now open!
After the transfer window closed on September 1st, the ludicrous way in which football restricts player movement is shown as a folly with the clubs, affiliate dot the Football League, now able to loan in those players they couldn`t quite manage to buy back in August.
Whether Posh will participate in this madness remains to be seen but in an interview with Radio Cambridgeshire, Barry Fry has opened the door, or should that be window, suggesting that Darren Ferguson does have funds available to manouevre in the market, commenting,
“The manager knows he`s got funds available – he`s just staying very loyal to the players he`s got.”
However, the magic line, that follows, implies that our squad is already on the large side with Fry adding,
“We have got 29 players available for selection and we`ve got five out on loan so I`m not sure whether we`ll dip into the emergency loan window.”
My money is on a splurge next week if we don`t get a result at Loftus Road – a kind of pick-me-up methinks?
