After having had just over a week to assess the squad, Mark Cooper has had to think quickly with the loan window closing on Thursday.

It`s being reported that he`s decided that the squad needs bolstering and that plans are afoot to recruit two players, on loan, before the window slams shut.

No indication has been given to which positions they`re intended to fill but Cooper has explained, to the local media, that Barry Fry is busy doing the leg work to bring the deals off when he remarks,

‘Barry Fry is working on signing one or two players in before the deadline and I’m confident he will be successful.”

‘I want players in who can help the current squad and we have plenty of useful names in the pot. Some have played at our level before.”

‘There may be players leaving as well. Barry is working hard on that.’

It could be, we suspect, a busy few days!

We`ll endeavour to keep you posted.
