Motherwell midfielder Steven Jennings is interesting a number of English clubs including Peterborough United.

Jennings is out of contract at Fir Park and has yet to agree a new deal.

Peterborough United, Sheffield Wednesday, and Doncaster are all keeping tabs on the situation as doubt remains over where he will be plying his trade next season.

Championship sides Posh and Wednesday are both looking to strengthen their midfield, while Doncaster are looking to overhaul their squad following relegation to League One.

The 27-year-old started his career in the Everton youth team before moving across Liverpool to Tranmere where he played 140 games, scoring 6 goals.

He was loaned out to Hereford United during the 2006-07 season where he played 11 games without scoring.

Motherwell signed Jennings in July 2009 where he has since played 93 games scoring 2 goals.

The only issue surrounding Posh is that he doesn’t fit into their transfer policy as he’ll turn 28 in October. He’s not quite the ‘young and hungry’ type of player we usually go for!
