I`ve always been puzzled by the nominations for these monthly awards.
In my eyes they never seem to make sense.
Take the latest nominations for the League One player of the month for March!
Nestling amongst the five nominees is our very own Craig Mackail-Smith.
So why doesn`t it make sense?
I`m not for a moment suggesting that Craig doesn`t deserve some sort of accolade for his stirring performances this season but to be nominated for the award this month, a month in which he was rested on the bench for two games, now that is strange don`t you agree?
