One of the traits that will always stand a team in good stead is the desire to play for your manager.

Like many pundits have said, great managers make great teams, not vice versa.

Therefore, it`s interesting to see, in the tabloids this morning, some quotes from Craig Mackail-Smith, who had an exceptional second half on Saturday, which confirm this point.

Craig was also keen to remember where he comes from as well when he commented,

“I used to play part-time and walk around Homebase, trying to sell sheds to people, so I`m loving every minute here.”

“It`s great playing for a gaffer from a famous footballing family, but he wants to forge his own career and if we keep working hard for him over the last six games, he might win back-to-back promotions.”

What`s this might Craig?
