With two hours to go before kick-off in the fixture against Scunthorpe tonight, Craig Mackail-Smith will no doubt be pondering, like the rest of us, whether he`ll start tonight.

After starting the last two games on the bench, our top scorer admits to being shocked at being dropped but in an interview given to the local media, he`s shown that he has the right attitude remarking,

‘I was surprised and disappointed to be left out. I had started feeling tired in games, but I felt I could play through it.”

‘It’s difficult watching from the substitutes’ bench and then coming on cold, but I will always give 100 per cent to this club no matter how many minutes I play.”

‘We have a good squad here and we all have to keep playing well or we will be left out. I can’t argue when the team has played well in picking up two wins.”

‘But I am determined to help the side win promotion. I’ve enjoyed a good season and I probably should have scored more goals, but there are still enough games for me to make an even bigger impact.’

That`s the spirit Craig!
