Posh – Martin Moves Out!

Albeit on a temporary basis for now or is it?

With the loan window set to close on Thursday business is sure to be brisk over the next twenty-four hours or so.

After having previously let one of our promotion winning full backs, Tom Williams, leave for Queens Park Rangers in the final days before the Ferguson era closed, the new incumbent of the managers chair at London Road has wasted no time in shipping out the other, Russell Martin.

Martin has agreed to join the East Anglian side, Norwich, on a loan spell until 4th January next year.

Also, in an apparent act of generosity, or is it an indication Martin will not be coming back to London Road, Martin has been given permission to participate in the FA Cup for the Canaries.

Speaking about his move to appear in the green and yellow of Norwich, Martin has commented,

‘As soon as I knew Norwich were in for me I told Peterborough to discard any interest from other clubs and I came here straight away.’

It looks like the boy was keen to renew working under Paul Lambert, a manager who he played under at Wycombe.

Here at Vital Posh we wish Martin well.
