Although the red-tops were keen to plug an article promoting interest in Aaron Mclean from Birmingham City, in reality the situation is different.

Mclean, who requested a transfer and was subsequently granted one, know that the club will not sell him on the cheap and that they are looking for a transfer fee somewhere between £3 million and £4 million.

So with that in mind, it`s being declared that the only clubs to show any interest have been Coventry City and Plymouth Argyle, with those enquiries being described as polite and nothing more serious.
