It must be difficult stood down the opposite end watching a two goal lead squandered but then again it must also be frustrating to miss a spot kick as Craig Mackail-Smith and Aaron McLean would no doubt testify.

Speaking after the 2-2 draw with Oldham, Aaron had this to say to the local press when he remarked,

‘I’m incredibly frustrated as we should have won from 2-0 up, even though Oldham are a very good side.’

As for the own goal and the penalty, we fear a storm is brewing as Aaron remarks

‘We had a great start with a goal I definitely will be claiming and of course I had a great chance to make it 2-0 from a penalty.”

‘It was probably a harsh decision as the goalkeeper got a nick on the ball even though I reached it first.”

‘But I didn’t strike it well enough and the keeper made a great save. I couldn’t believe it when Craig missed his penalty as well, but luckily the ball came straight to me and I put it in”

Anyone care to uses who`d have taken a third penalty if we`d have been awarded one.
