Any chances our Welsh international defender Craig Morgan has of adding to his tally of caps may well be jeopardised by his current fitness level.

With the Welsh squad being named for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers, Darren Ferguson has added a proviso regarding the inclusion of his central defender.

Morgan, who has been absent with a toe injury in recent weeks has been told by Darren Ferguson that his inclusion in the Welsh squad is wholly dependent on him proving his fitness and playing for Posh this weekend against Bristol Rovers. With Darren remarking to Radio Cambridgeshire,

“If he doesn`t play for us Saturday he won`t be going to Wales.”

“We`d like their doctor to assess it and hopefully common sense will prevail because he`s done nothing for weeks.”

Unfortunately, common sense and football do not very often go hand in hand!
