The news that West Brom have finally appointed a new manager gave me cause to heave a sigh of relief last night.

With candidates falling by the wayside, I half suspected that the name of Darren Ferguson would be thrown into the hat again, after all there had always been an inkling of a suggestion that perhaps West Bromwich Albion were to be virtually classified as a Premier League side if an offer were to come in for Darren. And wasn`t it only Premier League sides that he`d be able to talk to?

However, now that Roberto Di Matteo has followed us into a higher league, albeit via a change of employer, I`m hoping we can all sit back and relax, surely the managerial-go-around has stopped, probably temporarily though, until the season has started again?

Or is that just wishful thinking?
