It appears that one of our youngsters, Alfie Potter, may be on the verge of leaving London Road on a permanent basis.

After making only three appearances last season, Potter looks to be out of favour and on the point of dropping down into non-league football.

The nineteen year old winger is, at present, on loan at Kettering and ‘The Poppies` are amongst the front-runners to secure his signature.

However, it looks as if last seasons FA Cup giant killers, Havant & Waterlooville could be in the driving seat having already posted a bid in the region of £25,000.

Potter could also see his league career saved as Darren Ferguson points out,

“Havant have put the money down, but there is interest from Kettering and a Football League club.’

We`ll watch this one and let you know of any developments.
