I don`t know if anyone has ever gone from the bottom tier to the top tier of English football in straight seasons.

I recall a John Toshack led Swansea doing something similar but was it in straight seasons?

Perhaps somebody can let me know.

However, I`m not sure I`m in agreement with our wonderful owner, Darragh MacAnthony who reckons the odds of us winning the Championship (50-1) and of achieving promotion (20-1) were seriously out of kilter.

I`d prefer a season of consolidation and perhaps we`re not doing ourselves any favours by shooting our mouths off so early.

I`m more than a little worried of us ending up with egg on our faces!
