Football League sponsors Sky Bet believe Peterborough United will have no problems in defeating their visitors Oxford United in the EFL Sky Bet League One match at the ABAX Stadium.

Posh v Oxford - Sky Bet EFL L1

Peterborough United v Oxford United
Location: ABAX Stadium
Date: Saturday, 30th September, 2017
Kick-off: 15:00pm

Posh and the Yellows go into todays clash fresh from a Tuesday night defeat where both sides conceded three goals. Posh went down 3-2 at basement side Oldham Athletic while Oxford lost three-nil at Bury.

That defeat for Posh was their first away defeat of the season though while it was the Yellows fourth defeat in 10 League matches. Posh dropped down one place to third in League One following that defeat at the Latics with the Yellows sat in 15th place.

At home, Posh have won four and lost one of their League matches so far with that one defeat coming at the hands of Bradford City (1-3). Their last home match saw them overcome a very strong Wigan Athletic (3-2) side with the winner being scored by rop scorer Jack Marriott in the final minute of the match.

The Yellows have won just once away from home and that came on the opening day of the season when they beat Oldham Athletic two-nil. Since then, they have picked up just one point from four League matches with that last match finishing in a three-nil defeat.

Last season, Oxford did the double over Posh winning both matches two-one. They scored a goal in each half of the match at the ABAX Stadium with Posh getting a consolation goal in the 90th minute through Craig Mackail-Smith`s 100th goal for Posh.

Despite doing the double last season, the form shown by Posh so far this season makes them favourites with the bookies to win their clash today. Posh have odds of 10/11 for the win with Oxford quoted at 13/5 to beat Posh. The draw is priced at 14/5.
