If anyone ever wondered what managers do when they get the push then in his post match interview, on Saturday evening, Jim Gannon gave the perfect response.

Those who think they sit idly watching time go by might like to know that after being relieved of his duties by the Scottish Premier League team, Motherwell, Jim Gannon used the time to assess how he could improve his managerial knowledge.

Speaking after the 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers, Jim gave a possible insight into the kind of football we can expect Posh to adopt in the coming weeks, attacking football – when he remarked,

“When I was out of the game I studied what were thought to be the better footballing teams. So I had a look at Blackpool, Preston and Doncaster.”

“You can waste away the hours but I wanted to get out and learn.”

Now if there`s any justice in this world of ours, we`ll both harvest the fruits from this course of action!
