Striker David Ball has left Peterborough United on loan for the second time this season, joining up once again with League One side Rochdale.

Ball played eight games with Dale earlier in the season before being recalled by Posh boss Darren Ferguson following good performances for Rochdale where he scored four goals.

He is set to join up with his new team mates in time for Saturdays match against Brentford.

Ball will stay at Rochdale initially until January 2012.

Another Posh player on the move is left back Scott Griffiths.

Griffiths is heading north to join up with Chesterfield. He was on loan at the Spireites last season when he helped them win the League Two title.

His loan will see him at Chesterfield until January 2012.
