Posh – Playing Four Quarters?

So what was the idea behind splitting the friendly fixture with Rochdale into four twenty minute periods?

It`s a strange concept but Darren Ferguson has his reasons as he explains in the post match interview,

‘It was a good work-out all round. We split the game into four periods of 20 minutes because we wanted to work on a couple of systems.

‘And it was a worthwhile exercise. We scored two good goals and when the game opened up a bit we were a lot better.

‘We have lots of work to do on different systems. We will have to adapt to the Championship.’

A novel idea but we can`t see it catching on just yet!
