Now the loan window has slammed shut clues start to emerge from within the corridors of power at London Road as to who Posh were after.

Barry Fry has stepped forward and announced that we had two bids for Premier League players turned down, when he remarked to the media,

‘We were hoping to bring in a few players on loan, one from Arsenal and one from Tottenham, last week, but it didn’t happen and we will look to reopen those deals when the January transfer window begins.’

Sit down at the back all those who think the two players in question were Cesc Fabregas and Jermain Defoe!
