Posh – Reading Between the Lines!

These are trying times at London Road.

There seems to be a plan being put into action to decide who should remain at Peterborough and who should be traded in to enable a maximum cash injection to fund another promotion push next season.

The departure of George Boyd shocked us all, especially after quotes surfaced that he`d probably be staying until the end of the season.

Well now it seems to be only a matter of time before another crowd favourite, Craig Mackail-Smith, is on the way out.

Several news sites are quite affirmative in their views that Reading are going to be a little more than persistent in their chase to secure the signature of the striker.

Now whether that`ll be before the end of this season, or during the close season, remains to be seen!

But the new Reading boss, Brain McDermott, has stated his intent by remarking,

“We think he`s a good player but we made an enquiry and it didn`t happen.”

“If you have the chance to get a decent player you try and do it.’

Will Craig be tempted or will he hold out for somewhere else, it promises to be an intriguing few weeks or months!
