A few weeks, or was it days ago, we covered the Posh quest to secure the West Ham starlet, Freddie Sears on loan.
The idea being that Sears would come to London Road on a season long deal. It`d give him the chance to further his career whilst also letting us reap the benefit of his goal scoring exploits.
Unfortunately, despite our hopes being high, the move never materialised. Instead we were told that an arrangement had been put in place that would take Sears to Sheffield Wednesday for the season.
So imagine my surprise to pick up a newspaper this morning and read that Sears will, in fact, be turning out for Crystal Palace!
In fact it turns out that Sears had already shaken hands with Neil Warnock about the move.
All I`ll ask is where did the Sheffield Wednesday rubbish emanate from and when exactly did this young lad shake hands with Warnock?
