After dropping two home points on Saturday, against Sheffield Wednesday, our return from two games of one point out of six isn`t how we envisaged the season starting.

Indeed, in his post match interview Darren Ferguson categorically stated that he believed today represented two points lost rather than one won and that we need to be more ruthless, points that our goal scorer, Craig Mackail-Smith picked up on in his own chat with the media,

“That`s fair. Although we scored lots of goals last season we still could have taken more chances.”

“Today, Wednesday had one chance and they scored whereas we had three or four.”

“It`s a learning curve for us still. We should have more points but that`s what happens in football.”

Let`s hope we can start to put matters right against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday evening.
