The next position has been decided to find out which players were best in what position for Posh in the 2011/12 season. The right-back position has been decided and the winner was…

27. Craig Alcock

What a debut season from the man snapped up from Yeovil.

He started off life at Posh on the bench for the first three matches, although he did come on in two of those games in place of left-back Grant Basey. Despite being mainly right-footed, he showed his versatility straight away while playing at left-back. He then made that position his own before switching over to right-back when Mark Little was out injured.

The determined, battling defender also played in other positions throughout the campaign as he played at centre-back and also at the base of the midfield diamond.

With skipper Grant McCann out of Darren Fergusons main plans for the coming season, surely he is a candidate to take over the captains armband?

The team now looks like:

The next position poll is now up and running with the results announced on Friday, 29th June, 2012.
