It was a quiet weekend; I scoured the Sunday newspapers and couldn`t find a single newsworthy Posh item!
And there was I thinking that would change once we hit the second tier of English football.
Never mind, the quietness sort of got me thinking, July 1st (the day the identity of the Premier League centre back we`ve signed is revealed) still seems a long way off and, despite racking my brains, I`m still none the wiser as to who it is.
In fact I started to amble down a route whereby I`d convinced myself that perhaps there was a catch in the announcement made by the club, perhaps he was once a Premier League player but was now in the Championship.
And then I read that Michael Duberry had been released by Reading and I had visions of him wearing the mighty Posh shirt.
But then I snapped out of it.
It`s not even the end of May and already I`m tired of this particular guessing game.
Come on Barry Fry – give us another clue please!
