Posh – They`re Taking Liberties!

Who said it pays to have money?

Well I admit I wouldn`t mind some, especially during those last few days of the month when the salary has all gone and the cupboard is bare and the only beer cans you have are the empty ones in the re-cycling garbage bin.

But in the current world of football it seemingly doesn`t pay.

Our owner and chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, has revealed that clubs tried to hoist the prices whenever Posh make transfer enquiries for players.

In stating his case he`s implied that when asking about the Middlesbrough youngster, Tom Craddock, he was quoted a price of £750,000.

Similarly, when enquiring about Anthony Pilkington, at Stockport, the price quoted was £750,000.

With no follow-up from Posh you might be interested to know that Craddock eventually moved to Luton Town for £300,000 and Pilkington joined Huddersfield for £300,000.

I guess it`s systematic of our situation, who`ll be next to try and rip us off if we get promotion?
