Posh – Those Same Old Errors!

With any dreams of a Boxing Day win, at the Hawthorns, despatched in a brief two goal flurry just after the hour mark, Mark Cooper spoke about the defeat.

Speaking at the media inquest, Mark had this to say,

“We just caved in after conceding the first goal. We looked comfortable for the first hour against one of the best teams in the division and all we had to do was roll up our sleeves and frustrate them to the end. What happens? We gave away two sloppy goals and caved in.”

It seems to be a trait that belongs to Posh. Just how many games have we seen a second goal follow quickly on from a first goal and the continued accusation of sloppy defending? It seems that you can change the defensive personnel but the trait remains.

Continuing though, Cooper expressed a desire to keep plugging away, commenting,

“We may have gone bottom again, but that will not affect our attitude. We have to continue fighting for points.”

Every single point is now vital as we head towards 2010 firmly stuck to the bottom of the Championship!
