Posh to lose their Ball?

Peterborough United striker David Ball looks to be on the move from London Road.

Despite scoring a cracking goal on the last day of the Championship season against Derby County, David Ball was deemed no longer required by the club.

Fleetwood Town, newly promoted into the Football League, are very keen on acquiring his services.

Cod Army boss Micky Mellon is a big admirer of Ball who is seen as an excellent goal poacher who knows where the goal is.

He would be an excellent capture for Fleetwood should they pull off his signature.

Ball is way down the pecking order at Posh and has been on various loan spells during his time at Posh.

Should Ball sign for the Highbury outfit, he could form an exciting partnership with Jon Parkin who has also signed for the Cod Army.

Could the pairing fire the Cod Army to back-to-back promotions??
