Although it`s exciting to have earned promotion, there is this little bit of fear about treading into the unknown.

Most of our side have never played at such a level and despite being confident of succeeding, there`s always the chance some of them might find the going a little tricky.

Our club captain, Russell Martin, has been speaking to Radio Cambridgeshire about such matters and adapting to life at a higher level.

This is what he had to say,

‘The step up to the Championship, especially the top six teams, will be very different to what we’re used to.”

‘But we can’t wait to prove we can play at this level.’

‘Individual players will be more athletic, stronger quicker and more teams will get down and pass it.”

‘Hopefully that might just suit us when you get teams who want play entertaining football.’

Let`s hope it really is that easy!
