Posh v Blades Preview!

And so we reconvene, at London Road, a matter of days after our 3-1 victory over Ipswich Town.

The leading question is whether Jim Gannon can keep his 100% home record going with another win. If he can, it`ll be the first time Posh have won two games on the trot in the Championship this season, mind you, with us only having accumulated five wins that`ll still remain some feat.

Gannon will hope to go with the nucleus of the side that beat Ipswich although we have a suspicion that it`ll be Aaron Mclean partnering new signing Liam Dickinson up front with Mackail-Smith likely to be on the bench.

On the injury front Gabriel Zakuani is still recovering from his groin injury.

The visitors, managed by Kevin Blackwell, have a whole host of players who are rated as doubtful for this fixture with Nick Montgomery, Derek Geary, Toni Kallio, Nyron Nosworthy, Lee Williamson and Jamie Ward falling into this category.

Add to that the fact that Marcel Siep, Chris Morgan, James Harper and Ryan France are also receiving treatment, and with Darius Henderson suspended, could we be playing Sheffield United at a better time?

Recent encounters between the two teams, all three of them in the league, have seen Sheffield United emerge victorious on every occasion and sadly Posh have yet to score a league goal against the Yorkshire side.

Pretty depressing facts!

However, despite their history, Sheffield United are on a poor run of form away from home with eight straight defeats.

Here at Vital Posh we`re going for another Posh win, we sense an air of confidence around the camp and we`re going with the flow!

2-0 to Posh is our prediction!
