Location: ABAX Stadium
Date: Saturday, 10th March, 2018
Kick-off: 15:00pm

After the wintry conditions postponed most matches in League One last weekend including Posh`s trip to high flying Shrewsbury Town, the snow has now melted away which means we can see Posh in action for the first time under new manager Steve Evans.

Charlton Athletic, whose match at AFC Wimbledon was also postponed due to the weather conditions last weekend, are one point and one place above Posh but they do have a game in hand so it is vital that Evans starts his Posh career off with a victory.

Posh outplayed the Addicks earlier in the season and were comfortably two-goals up going in to added time before a dubious penalty converted in the 91st minute by Ricky Holmes gave the home side home that they could get something out of the match. Three minutes later and they did just that by scoring an equaliser via substitute Karlan Ahearne-Grant. Gwion Edwards and Jack Marriott had scored either side of half-time to give Posh the initial lead.

Three of those goalscorers won`t feature in this weekends match though as Edwards has a long term injury while Holmes moved to Championship side Sheffield United in the January transfer window for an undisclosed fee. Academy graduate Ahearne-Grant who earned the Addicks an unlikely point in that match also moved clubs during January when joining League Two mid-table side Crawley Town.

Last season at the ABAX, Posh ran out two-nil winners thanks to goals from West Ham United loanee Martin Samuelsen and Marcus Maddison.

Can Posh repeat that victory and give Evans a winning start or will the Addicks be party poopers and take all three points and a massive step to the play-offs at the same time?
