What do you think the score will be in the Sky Bet EFL League One match between Peterborough United and Oldham Athletic on Saturday?

Peterborough United v Oldham Athletic
Location: ABAX Stadium
Date: Saturday, 20th January, 2018
Kick-off: 15:00pm

After three consecutive away matches, Posh come home to the ABAX Stadium on Saturday for a second successive League One fixture against a “Latics” side. This time it`s struggling Oldham Athletic and not leaders Wigan Athletic who Posh faced last weekend.

Posh must be careful not to underestimate their visitors on Saturday as they lost to the Latics earlier this season when they were bottom of League One. The match was goalless at half-time before both sides scored within six minutes of each other just before the hour mark. The Posh equaliser through Marcus Maddison came from the penalty spot after the Latics Brian Wilson was sent off for a foul on Maddison in the penalty area.

With everyone expecting Posh to go on to win, it was the 10-men from Oldham who went on to score two further goals! Posh did reduce the arrears when Jack Marriott scored in the 92nd minute but it was too little too late.

The Latics are now one place outside the relegation places but they are level with Northampton Town who are in the relegation places.

Posh are on a good run of form though having lost just two of their last 13 matches in all competitions and are unbeaten in their four matches since the turn of the year which included a 3-1 victory at Championship side Aston Villa in the third round of the FA Cup.

In comparison, The Latics have won just one of their last eight matches, losing four times. That win was back in early December when they thumped the Cobblers 5-1! Since the start of January, they lost their first two matches, at Shrewsbury Town and Charlton Athletic one-nil before drawing one-all last weekend against Rotherham United.

The Latics also face Leicester City under 21`s in the third round of the Checkatrade Trophy on Wednesday [17th January] before they head to the ABAX.

An Posh continue their good run and gain revenge for the defeat earlier in the season or can the Latics cause another upset?
