Posh get the opportunity to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they face Walsall at London Road.

After the disappointment of crashing out of the FA Cup, at the hands of West Bromwich Albion, on Tuesday evening, the fixture sees Posh resume League One action after suffering two postponements in recent weeks, at home to MK Dons and away at Tranmere.

The fixture is the first of two in quick succession at London Road with the rescheduled fixture, against MK Dons, scheduled for next Tuesday evening. Therefore, if Posh are going to retain any hopes of clinching an automatic promotion spot, come next May, then Walsall are the sort of opposition that Posh need to take three points from.

Sadly, after the bumper crowd of more than 10,000 in midweek there`s every fear that the attendance for the visit of Walsall will slip back down to the 6,500 to 7,000 mark.

As for team news, Darren Ferguson will be able to call upon, if required, Andrew Crofts, who was cup-tied in midweek. Tom Williams, despite his dodgy knee, should also be available as should Paul Coutts who has recovered from the illness that kept him out of contention for the West Brom game. Therefore, the only absentees are log term injury victims Jamie Day and Shane Blackett.

As for the opposition, Walsall, under the caretaker management of John Schofield, will be without Stephen Hughes, Stephen Roberts and Paul Boertien, all of whom are injured. On the suspension side, Michael Ricketts (once of England) will be serving the second game of a two game ban.

As for a prediction, we`ll go for 3-1 to the Posh!
