Posh v Yeovil Preview

Posh, on the back of that splendid 4-2 win over Brighton, get the chance to keep the pressure up on second place MK Dons with a home fixture against struggling Yeovil this Saturday.

Thanks to the splendid work of all those who, over the last three days, have helped clear the snow off of the London Road pitch, there is every chance that the fixture will go-ahead.

For the fixture, Darren Ferguson will be without the injured Jamie Day, Shane Blackett, Tom Williams and Craig Morgan although out of the quartet it should be said that Blackett is now ready for first team action.

With Morgan still nursing an injured toe it`s expected that our loan star, from Manchester United, James Chester, will partner Gabriel Zakuani and Charlie Hill will inevitably fill in for Tom Williams.

However, much of the talk today is whether Lee Frecklington will get the start, in our midfield, he wishes for and whether our latest acquisition from non-league football, Ben Wright, will see any action.

Our views at Vital Posh are that both will start on the bench.

Our visitors will be without the suspended duo of Terell Forbes and Danny Schofield.

Russell Slade was very active in the transfer window signing three players, a Swiss born Serbian striker, Aleksander Prijovic, Shaun MacDonald and Jonathan Worthington, all could feature.

Yeovil haven`t scored that many goals this season, a paltry 26 but their defense has been resolute recently with three consecutive clean sheets meaning that patience could be the key this Saturday.

Nevertheless, here at Vital Posh we feel that Posh will take the three points on offer purely because of our attacking virtuoso courtesy of George Boyd, Aaron McLean and Craig Mackail-Smith.

Therefore, we have every reason to believe that we`ll be heading off to Tranmere on Tuesday evening with a 2-0 win in the record books.
