After missing a huge chunk of pre-season and the first four Championship fixtures of this season, Chris Whelpdale may well make a comeback of some sorts this Bank Holiday Monday.
Although some news sources pencilled in Chris for a comeback at Preston North End, it would appear that was a touch too soon.
However, our sources tell us that Whelpdale trained with the first team again yesterday and has every chance of making the squad of eighteen named for the fixture.
