Posh – Where Would You Put Exodus?

If you were to journey back to August 2009, I`d hazard a guess nobody would even get close to second guessing the make-up of our team at the moment.

There have been so many movements, in the transfer market that it`s almost unreal. Indeed, the starting eleven now, compared to our opening fixture, is vastly different.

One name that regularly appears on it these days though is Exodus Geohaghan.

Signed by our second manager this season, Mark Cooper, from Kettering Town, Exodus, with his wonderful physique, has done his utmost to adapt to Championship life.

Arriving initially as a centre back, Exodus was moved to the holding midfield role by our third manager this season, Jim Gannon.

It was a role he looked comfortable in and talking about it to the local radio station, remarked,

“I feel more comfortable in the midfield because there`s less pressure. You get more time to take a few more risks.”

“At the back it`s more intense and you have to be on the ball all the time.”

“Sometimes it`s hard to make the adjustment mentally because you want to take a touch and it`s not on at the back.”

Whilst sat in front of the back four, Exodus has shown that he can be a master of the long pass, spraying it thirty or forty yards to change the focus of play, it`s a trait that the new role appears to have uncovered, prompting Exodus to remark,

“It`s something I`ve got in my locker.”

“When you`ve got the ability to get it down the middle of the park and have that extra touch to make the passes it`s even better.”

However, with the introduction of our fourth manager of the season, Gary Cooper, Exodus found himself slotting back into the back four for the visit of promotion chasing Leicester City, prompting the following remark,

“I`m not too sure how the gaffer`s going to get into this new system.”

“But I`ll obviously see where he wants me to play and we`ll take it from there.”

Now reading between the lines, we get the impression that Exodus would rather be playing just in front of the back four and displaying his new found skills, however, and this is the sixty-four thousand dollar question, where do you see Exodus slotting in next season?
