If I`m reading between the lines correctly, the removal from office and subsequent appointment of Jim Gannon was done with such speed that the new incumbent of the managers` chair at London Road has yet to meet with the owner.
Amongst the plethora of articles published in the tabloids this morning there`s one relating to Posh that implies that Darragh would like to meet up with Jim but that Jim, after having taken on the monumental task of trying to keep us in the Championship, is struggling to spare the time, commenting,
“He wants me to fly out to meet him but I`ve told him I`ve got way to much work on. I would love to go to New York but for me the priority is to make sure we turn things around.”
“I could meet him in Dublin I suppose – or Shannon Airport.”
Which leads us to believe, rightly or wrongly that a certain Barry Fry conducted the business last week ensuring a smooth transition after the sudden departure of Mark Cooper!
