Posh – Zakuani – Cheerio for Now?

We`re in one of those strange situations whereby he`s our player but he`s not!

The home game, against Oldham on Saturday, was the last time we`ll see Gabriel Zakuani in action until the FA Cup tie against West Bromwich Albion.

The defender`s loan period is up and although we`ve technically signed him from Fulham he can`t play for us until the transfer window opens in January.

Prompting our Congolese central defender to remark,

“It`s frustrating. Those are the games you want to play in. But I`ll be moving furniture and keeping trying to keep fit.”

Unfortunately, his absence, after never experiencing a loss in a Posh shirt coincides with a tough spell of games including the festive period.

However, Gabriel has very hope that he won`t be missed when he remarks,

“I`m happy with my time here so far but I`m not surprised by the unbeaten run.”

“There is a lot of talent in my team. And I`ll always put my heart on the line.”

“I have got faith in the boys. Everyone is hungry. We are up near the top and we want to push on.”

Well if we are then well need to stop letting two goal leads slip and we`ll have to start killing off teams.

How about we start with Leicester this weekend?
