After seeing his pre-season preparations disrupted by a flu bug, a bug that also affected him, Darren Ferguson can now, finally, welcome back the last of the sufferers.

Gabby Zakuani who has yet to, if I`m correct, feature in any of our pre-season friendlies against ‘proper` opposition, looks set to return this Saturday.

If, as suspected, he does, it`ll mean that Gabby will line up against his former club, Fulham on Saturday.

Thankfully, Gabby doesn`t suspect that his enforced absence will affect his performancer too much, remarking in an interview on BBC Raadio Cambridgeshire,

‘I felt as though I was ahead of where I needed to be so I shouldn’t have got too far behind.”

‘I just need to get minutes under my belt as I haven’t played as many games as I’ve wanted to.’

In fact, Gabby is probably looking forward to resuming his Posh career against his former team mates with him further remarking about his former colleagues,

‘I learnt a lot from playing aside some world-class players, it’s stood me in good stead and I owe them a lot.”

It`ll be great to have you back Gabby, we`ve missed you.
