With the loan window about to shut today [Thursday], is Peterborough United striker David Ball about to make another loan move away from London Road?

Ball went to Rochdale on loan earlier this season, originally until January, but after a successful period where he scored four goals in eight games, Posh recalled him. Unfortunately for Ball, he has only featured briefly coming off the substitutes bench since returning.

It is believed Posh boss Darren Ferguson has agreed that the 21-year-old can go on loan again and there are a number of clubs lining up for his services.

Rochdale are very keen on having his services again but they face competition from League One rivals Yeovil and Preston. Scottish Premier League team Aberdeen are also thought to be interested in Ball.

Preston appear to be the favourites to sign Ball ahead of the loan transfer window shutting.
